U.S. Military Campgrounds:
This campground has been voted one of the top 5 in the Campers Choice Award for BEST Military Campground. We visited in February 2010 and were able to wait out a snow storm. Finding the campground was a little confusing, but we eventually found it. It was strange to enter Fort Benning, drive through the base, and then leave out the other side to get to the campground. Uchee Creek campground is not behind any security gates, but there is an alternative route to get there.
